The Pawtucket Hall of Fame honors Dr. Rosemary Costigan as its 2025 Person of the Year. A lifelong Pawtucket resident and Shea High School graduate, she began her journey at CCRI, earning an associate degree in nursing before rising to become the college’s sixth—and first alumna—president in 2025. A first-generation college graduate, Costigan’s career spans faculty, leadership, and her role as Vice President for Academic Affairs, where she advanced innovation and equity in higher education. Her appointment as president embodies opportunity and upward mobility, making her a powerful role model for Pawtucket youth and an inspiring community leader.
